October 1, 2011 CPHS Un-Meeting, Walt Disney World
"The
Little FWRR" was on display for the
CPHS Un-Meeting at the Wilderness Lodge in the Carolwood Pacific Room in
the Disney Vacation Club building at Walt Disney World.
Setting up the layout table the night before the meeting:
Here is the layout as displayed, but I wouldn't call it finished:
Guests enjoy watching the hopper cars being dumped by a fork lift. Someone is catching the gumballs!
Here's the layout from another angle with the computer monitor:
A Carolwood member studies the Gateway Depot:
This is what makes all of the work worthwhile. He is watching gumballs being dropped into the hopper cars:
Here's my replica of the old Fort Wilderness playground:
This is the Gumball Factory that loads gumballs into the tipping hopper cars:
The old Fort Wildness sign welcomes guests to the campground:
There is one campsite on the layout, with a '62 VW van. A bald eagle watches over the campground:
Here is another view of "The Little FWRR":
And one more angle showing the front of the Gumball Factory and part of the control electronics interface panel:
