Oct 2013 - Sorry to report that we are not going to make it to Fort Wilderness again this year. Hope everyone has a great Halloween!

Oct 2012 - Very sadly I must report that "The Little FWRR" has had to cancel at the Fort for Halloween, due to a case of the flu. I will certainly miss everyone!

Aug 2012 - "The Little FWRR" plans to participate in a "Disney Train Show" to be held in the Carolwood Pacific Room in the DVC Villas at The Wilderness Lodge at Walt Disney World on Saturday, Sept. 29th, from 10AM until 5PM. This event is free and open to all Disney World guests and is sponsored by the Carolwood Pacific Historical Society, as a part of their 2012 Un-Meeting taking place that weekend.

"The Little FWRR" also plans to be at the Fort Wilderness Campground to again hand out candy on Halloween, 2012. Check back for more details closer to the event. Our site number will be posted here a day or two before Halloween. 

Aug 2012 - Work is about completed in rewiring the layout, installing connectors that will save about one hour in the time required for setup. Photos to come...

Oct 2011 - "The Little FWRR" was on display at the Fort Wilderness Campground to hand out candy during the TOT event on Halloween weekend. See photos on the PAST EVENTS page. Also see the VIDEO from this event.

Oct 2011 - "The Little FWRR" was on display for one day on Saturday, Oct 1st, for the CPHS Un-Meeting at the Wilderness Lodge in the Carolwood Pacific Room in the Disney Vacation Club building at Walt Disney World. Photos are now posted on the PAST EVENTS page.

Sep 2011 - Finally, It looks like the FWRR coaches are on their way. Looking forward to running the full Fort Wilderness Railroad train (with three coaches, anyway)! Oh, someone asked why I don't have a photo of the whole layout posted. Well, that's because there is still construction in several areas. But by next month I hope to correct that, so check back!

 Aug 2011 - After a lull, work is now progressing again on the layout, including adding a water feature and a bridge. The HOME page photo now shows some of this new work. Also, I have added some new photos on the CONSTRUCTION page, including one of the layout table. I'm hoping to receive the FWRR coaches from CPHS in the next few weeks. I am expecting to have "The Little FWRR" at Fort Wilderness to hand out candy (again) for Halloween 2011, barring any major derailments.

Nov 2010 - "The Little FWRR" made it's first public appearance at Walt Disney World's Fort Wilderness Campground, on Halloween, October 31, 2010. Details and photos are available for viewing in the PAST EVENTS section.
